currentfavelipsticks011301

Lately, these are my go to, must wear lippies. I’ve never been a lipstick kind of girl but now that’s what I love to wear. Although, I forever have chapped lips. I’ve also have gone out of my comfort zone and bought more daring colors. In the meantime here are my “Current Favorite Lipsticks”.

L-R: MAC – Please Me, Lime Crime – Great Pink Planet, Lime Crime – Airborne Unicorn, Candy Doll – Apricot Peach, Candy Doll – Ramune Pink

Swatches from left to right:

Lime Crime – Airborne Unicorn: A medium purple with a neon note. I’ve reviewed this lipstick before, I previously stated that I’d mostly likely weart this at night because of it looking super neon in the day time. Which, I mostly do wear when I go out at night. I love how it’s dark but under certain lights the neon shows and it’s a perfect eye catcher. The review full here: Airborne Unicorn

Lime Crime – Great Pink Planet: A pastel pink with neon note. I love the brightness of this pastel color and the neon note is not overpowering during the day. If I feel I want more oopmf with my makeup look instead of a toned down pink, I grab this lipstick the most.

Candy Doll – Apricot Peach: A pale nude with an orange note. My second favorite nude is MAC’s Blankety. Though, I feel Candy Doll’s nude is more lively as most nude colors can wash people out. It creates a wonderful pout. The review full here: Apricot Peach

Candy Doll – Ramune Pink: A pale pink with a beige note. I wear this the most as pink lipsticks are my favorite color to wear. The best color for me when I do my gyaru makeup. The full review here: Ramune Pink

MAC – Please Me: A muted rosy pink with a yellow note. All the previous lipsticks have a creamy texture but this one is matte. I love the soft and sweet effect it gives my makeup looks. The full review here: Please Me

Bright, gorgeous color that can transform your day and your lips. Enriched with a silk moisturizing complex, our formula helps sustain moisture levels and helps create soft, smooth, beautiful lips in just 7 days.

Covergirl Lipperfection Lipcolor: Divine Covergirl ($5)

Another purple lipstick review and a few more to come =) The color is very pigmented and you can achieve full color with one swipe. I feel the color is more pink-purple, then just like a “purple”. The texture of the lipstick is smooth and creamy, where you don’t have to put too much pressure to apply the color. The staying power is pretty good it took about 4-5 hours for me to reapply, but I snack alot so i’m sure it can last longer. The smell is pretty nice, not over powering…it kind of reminds me of baby powder lol but that just might be me. Or maybe like a sunblock scent. Something along those lines. It doesn’t dry out my lips and is definitely moisturizing. I usually put lip balm on before anyway as a base. This one is by far one of my favorite purple lipsticks. I will definitely be buying more from this collection.

Pros:
Very Pigmented
Long lasting
Moisturizing

Cons:
None ahaha

Lime Crime in Airborn Unicorn: Lime
Medium violet-purple lipstick with a neon note. Hue as mysterious as the animal itself. This color combines lipstick and lipstain for prolonged wear.

Lime Crime: Airborne Unicorn Opaque Lipstick LimeCrime.com ($15.99)

I never thought to try out this lipstick but I saw it on Eki’s blog sale for a bit cheaper! So what the heck I bought it on a whim and this was the start of my purple lipstick addiction.

While testing out my “Night Portrait” mode on my new camera, I really loved how this color turned up. I’ve been taking many photos of myself with this lipcolor since I bought it and haven’t got the “right” look for it, however, it works with everything (i’m just being picky). I love how creamy the formula is and I LOVE the lip stain color after. On my lips, it turns to a dark hot pink color. This lipstick is very build-able from sheer to full on color. I have 2 toned lips, so I’m all about full color.

Pros:
Pretty cute packaging, a silver unicorn against a purple background!
Build-able
Pretty even staining effect (unless you don’t like that then..a con for you)
Vegan

Cons:
Bright neon purple (I took photos outside and whoa it’s like so neon)

Also, I colored my hair back to brown, I never posted that I had colored only half of it lighter color…you can see a bit from my header photos.

I rarely buy MAC products and I was in complete shock *high pitch scream! when I found out you can trade in your empty MAC containers and receive a FREE lipstick!! Soon enough I found a video on how to de-pot them and quickly went to the mall the next day!! *nerd!

Like I said I rarely buy MAC products, so the makeup artist helped me choose the lipstick and a lip liner to go with. I ended up getting “Amplified Blankety” lipstick and “Stripdown” lip pencil.
